Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Real-time updates includes live text for Sunday's games on various channels, starting with the Broncos-Jets clash in London (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Additionally, radio commentary can be heard on designated networks for another key matchup (from 21:00 BST).

We're in the sixth week of the football calendar , after last week's discussion regarding two top teams as a potential Super Bowl match-up, each lost their unbeaten records.

Striking in those games was the number of penalties both conceded. Philadelphia did so in key moments so they kind of beat themselves after leading by two touchdowns entering the fourth period against Denver, set to play overseas this weekend.

However it was good to see how Denver quarterback Bo Nix was able to overcome that deficit and then direct three successful possessions on three possessions in the fourth quarter, securing the victory by four points.

Denver have the top defender in cornerback Pat Surtain II. They are first in goal-line defense, while the Eagles lead the league in red zone offence, and the Broncos prevailed in that contest.

They had the Eagles' number regarding simulated pressure. They did not always sending extra pass rushers instead they might position two linebackers in the interior then withdrawing them and send a slot defender from the outside.

Early on of the season, we said during a show how Denver could be this season's surprise contenders. They finished the previous year strongly then did a good job of building upon that.

Could Denver be this season's dark horses?

New tight end their tight end has stepped up big while recent RB their rusher is a guy they believe in. He now ranks 5th league-wide for rushing yards (402) and tied-fourth in rushing scores (four).

It's impressive how head coach Sean Payton has "RUSH!" prominently of his playcall sheet.

That shows that the Broncos represent a squad that wants to run first, because one can achieve much off the back of that. It reduces opposing rushes while keeps you in favourable down and distances.

It's also benefited quarterback the young passer, who came the NFL as the 12th overall draft pick in the prior draft, throwing 29 TDs – just behind a star QB for the rookie record (31 in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert have powerful arms to throw anywhere, however they lack the mobility as Nix. He boasts incredible arm talent, a unique trait, plus he is so athletic.

His assets include his movement, the capacity to throw on the run, and using varied release points to deliver the pass as he moves out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He is able to throw precision throws over the middle or over the corner.

For a young quarterback, at 25, he's got a lot of poise under pressure and is not bothered by the blitz. He aims to avoid being tackled whenever possible and is able throw under pressure. He has a high football IQ and remains very decisive.

When you consistently run the ball it eats up the clock and makes the opponent to stay in play for longer, and when you have an athletic quarterback the defence has to cover the area vertically side to side. It can be exhausting.

Nix has pushed back with the coach during games sometimes and I think Payton appreciates that fire, seeing him as a fierce rival. I think it's exciting for the coach to coach a rookie QB who's similar to play-dough. He can really build something up the way he wants to build it. I think it's a unique opportunity for the coach.

The head coach has won a championship and has passed a legend in all-time victories (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen everything. I think the success Denver are experiencing on offence is mostly down to his guidance, his play-calling, his situational awareness – and the combination with the QB aids shape him into who he is.

You wouldn't want a better guy in your ear, to assist you during difficult moments and build confidence.

I have faith in the Broncos' defense, in the QB's grit and calm. Yet is the team good enough to go against a top squad at full strength? Since that was not a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia last Sunday.

Right now, I don't think the Broncos are elite. They're working better than most, that's a good place to be in their division. The key to do is maintain this trajectory.

They're really good at embracing their strength, that is the ground game, and this is precisely what they must do versus the New York Jets in London. It's going to be a Dobbins-focused game, essentially.

New York have allowed 140 yards on the ground each contest (sixth worst), five rushing touchdowns so far (10th worst), and they are the sole squad without a win any game.

Since the NFL started recording takeaways in 1933, the Jets are also the inaugural squad to be without any turnovers in five outings, which is kind of shocking considering that the head coach Aaron Glenn a defensive coach at the Detroit Lions.

Patrick Mahomes stated Kansas City are off to a poor start after a recent loss to Jacksonville.

Following this Sunday's game, the Broncos have a smooth-ish schedule up to their break (in week 12) - the New York Giants, the Cowboys, the Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders prior to the Chiefs.

Looking at the AFC West, the Chiefs hold a losing record while Denver are even with the Chargers on 3-2 meaning they could challenge at leading the West.

This hinges upon which form Kansas City shows up they meet since Denver {beat|def
